Port Taranaki has two Liebherr LHM 400 mobile cranes and one reach stacker, operated by skilled staff who are experienced in safely executing complex lifts, whether on land or to and from vessels.
We also provide lift plans authorised by a chartered engineer.
Liebherr LHM 400 mobile cranes
Our LHM 400 mobile cranes are capable of a wide variety of tasks, and our expert staff can perform single and twin lifts.
Each LHM 400 has an outreach of 48 metres and a lifting capacity of 104 tonnes at 22 metres.
Each crane is fitted with a motorised hook for general lifting. This can be changed out for a Bromma spreader for lifting containers, or for specialised equipment to operate grabs or lift project cargo.
Hyster reach stacker
Designed for fast handling of containers and loads, our reach stacker is agile and flexible and capable of moving loads up to 45 tonnes. It is fitted with spreaders that can be used to transport project cargo and even small vessels.
Heavy forklifts and Hiabs
Port Taranaki has two heavy forklifts, a Hyster 16-XM9 with a 16-tonne lift capacity, and a Lees D55 with a-25 tonne lift capacity.
We also have two Hiabs, one of which can be used on the Newton King Tanker Terminal, our energy wharf.
