Eastern Reclamation
The eastern side of Port Taranaki’s harbour is the recreational and commercial area of Breakwater Bay.
This area includes a 9,000m2 bulk store (Shed 9), a 5,000m2 building used for construction of transportable houses (Shed 8), and a further 2ha of laydown area, which is available for general and specialist cargo.
This has most recently been used to store wind turbine blades and other components.
